We are Haitians and people who have adopted the Haitian culture and values. We love to socialize, eat, drink and celebrate together. Our Board of Directors is comprised of individuals who are pillars of the community, experts in their field, and want to give back and support our country and culture.

Reboot Haiti is an initiative created between Save a Life (a 501(c)(3) corporation) and the ACT Exchange, an international nongovernmental association organization which is dedicated to providing the resources which allows organizations to promote their causes, recruit volunteers, and raise money for worthy projects.

We work together with our volunteer community, civic officials, not-for-profit organizations, and the local business community, to create an environment that makes it easy to give. We encourage people who believe in our cause to vote with their wallets, and patronize businesses that support our objectives.

We facilitate the educational development of individuals and encouraging them to pursue higher education. In exchange, we expect them to pay it forward, and donate 10% of their earnings to help other young Haitian people.

The Reboot Haiti community meets in small groups called Haitian Circles about once a month to support each other and learn new skills. They talk openly about their ambitions and encourage each other to take on new challenges.

We have a series of fundraising activities, which include local events, dining, silent auctions, and online campaigns. We have a mobile platform, which allows residents of a community to vote with their wallets, without changing their behaviour.

We love the name re-boot. It means to restart and reset everything. Whether it is a process, an institution, a building, a park, a school, or a process, by rebooting, everything is a fresh start.

Reboot Haiti is an initiative led by Haitians and supported by those that are Haitians at heart.

The vision of the project is to enhance the quality of life for all Haitians, especially the young and the old, to provide the tools to support this goal. As the saying goes, “give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, and you will feed him for a lifetime.”

The mission is to:

“Create a sustainable platform, which generates monthly recurring revenue, in order for community leaders to properly deploy solutions that directly impact the lives of Haitians.”

Why is this important?

It is important because many not for profits have to continually be in fundraising mode in order to support their causes. By contrast, we believe that people should just be able to do what they do, come out and have a good time, and patronize organizations that as a rule, support these causes.

Haitian Ambassadors:

The official Haitian Music Ambassador, Political Ambassador, Student Ambassador supported by the government. Let’s turn these famous people into advocates for the rest of their people.

For the most part, famous Haitians tend to operate in isolation, and do not band together to support a singular or focused cause. We plan to change this, by getting famous Haitians from across the spectrum to create “programs of excellence”. The best chefs will cook for thousands of activists, musicians will entertain for the evening, and patrons will dance the night away till 2 AM in the morning.
